If you find that no one in your family is suffering a critical illness then ask your self why you are feeling this way? Are you anticipating a bad happening? When you lay down to sleep at night, instead of worrying, try to close your mind down from all thoughts and take a few rhythmic breaths before attempting to go to sleep. If you find it difficult then try relaxing your muscles so that you body is free of tension and think of your self in a perfect world where no problems exists. To clear the feeling of stress start by exhaling and inhaling releasing the facial features of stress, while permitting a warmth of fresh air to relieve the tension in your body. Let the airflow through your entire body as you slowly remove all thoughts of the mind. If you are unable to free your mind, ask yourself quietly why you are feeling this way? Evaluate the questions in your mind carefully to search for an answer to your problems. Again, try to clear your mind of all thoughts and continue allowing the body to relax while you rest your eyes.
If you continue to practice relaxation in the end, it will form a habit and allow your mind to rest. During each day of your life, you should add something new to your days. In other words, why not pick a bouquet of flowers and set them at the center of your dining table to add beauty to your life. If you like Teddy Bears, go out a buy an inexpensive stuffed animal to sleep with you at nights and imagine the critter is someone that is holding you and keeping you safe from life’s outlook and challenges.
Whenever you notice tension over the entire body, take a few moments to exhale and inhale breaths to release the tension. Stick with the breathing exercises until you finally feel relaxed enough to continue your day. During break hours you could also take a short walk outdoors and acknowledge the trees, sky, ground and so forth and think of the beauty giving to you, rather than thinking of the suffering that life sometimes bring our way. Finally, practice makes next to perfect! Learning how to treat insomnia is vital for your health.
